POLITICAL LIFE
In 1980 started active political
life from Allahabad
Member of State Executive
Committee of U.P. Yuva Lokdal in 1981. Mahamantri of U.P. Lokdal from June
1981 to 1989.
Chief General Secretary of U.P.
Lokdal from 1989 to 1991.
General Secretary of Janta Dal from
1991 to 1995.
In 1996 before the general
election of Parliament he opposed the coalition of Janta Dal with Samajwadi
Party and resigned from Janta Dal. On 02nd January, 1996 in the presence of then
National General Secretary Ms. Bahin Mayawati ji in Ravindralaya at Lucknow
In 1996 he was elected as Member
of Legislative Assembly from the Constituency No. 96, Dalmau, Distt.
Raibareli as candidate of Bahujan Samaj Party.
Appointed as a Cabinet Minister in
Bahujan Samaj Party and Bhartiya Janta Party
coalition government and held the portfolio of Khadi and Rural
Industries Department From 27th
March to 19th October, 1997.
When Mayawati ji was elected as
Member of Parliament he was given responsibility of leadership of Bahujan Samaj
Party in the Legislative Assembly and on 18th September, 2001 designated the Leader of
Opposition till 17th
October, 2001.
In 2002 again was elected from
Assembly Constituency No. 96, Dalmau, Raibareli as a candidate of Bahujan
Samaj Party and became Minister from 3rd May, 2002 to 29th August, 2003 in the coalition government of
Bahujan Samaj Party and Bhartiya Janta Party lead by Mayawati ji. Appointed
as a Cabinet Minister and held the portfolio of Khadi and Rural Industries as
well as Leader of Legislative Council from 06th May, 2002 to 29th August, 2003.
After the resignation of Ms.
Mayawati ji from Legislative Assembly again became the Leader of Legislative
Assembly Bahujan Samaj Party and from 30th August, 2003 to 07th September, 2003 remained Leader of
Opposition.
In the General elections held in
the year 2007 he was not elected. Ms. Mayawati ji became the Chief Minister
of Uttar Pradesh for the fourth time and appointed him as Cabinet Minister
and he held the portfolio of Revenue Minister and was elected for Legislative
Council on 29th June, 2007
and also given additional charge of Cooperative Minister as well as Leader of
Legislative Council from 17th
May, 2007 to 30th May, 2009.
In the year 2009 he was elected as
an M.L.A. from Constituency No. 181, Padrauna, Distt. Kushinagar and
appointed as a Cabinet Minister on
15th November, 2009 and held the portfolio of
Panchayati Raj Minister and Leader of Legislative Council from 18th November, 2009 to 15th March, 2012.
He was also given the Department
of Land Development and Water Resources from 08th April, 2011 and additional charge of Dr.
Ambedkar Rural Entire Development Department from 01st December, 2011.
In General elections of the
Asssembly this year 2012 he was elected as an M.L.A. from the Constituency
No.330, Padrauna, Distt. Kushinagar and was for the third time designated as
the Leader of Opposition, Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly from 16th March, 2012 to till date.
CONTRIBUTIONS
Gave
up Legal Practice due to his Political and Social activities.
In
order to make applicable the recommendations of Uttar Pradesh Mandal
Commmission he launched the campaign under the banner of Uttar Pradesh
Reservation Manch organised programmes to awaken the Dalit/Backward Classes
as well as to unite scattered Maurya, Kushwaha, Shakya and Saini societies.
For the esteem, self respect and rights of Dalits/Backward Classes organised
gathering demonstrations and agitation and was arrested himself and was imprisoned
due to Satyagraha.
He
is a reliable and devoted worker/official of the organisation and the party.
Exhibited full efficiency and established a unique example of intrepidity,
commitment, truthfulness, eloquence
and vociferousness in the public by working in various capacities in
the government and opposition.

Respected sir I am drawing your sincere concern towrds aarazi no 3 minjumla of Gram Tofapur Paragna Kasvaar Sarkaari Tahsil Rajatalab Dist Varanasi The said arazi number is very large in area about 20 hectare and occupy the half area of entire villege In replying a RTI submitted by us the Tehsil Rajatalab admitted that about 20 families which are poor illitrate and belonging the local Maurya communities were not in pocession of ancestral agricultural land in the same arazi number due to absent of any dividing map in chakbandi done on1978 Although there are so many orders to making tarmini map keeping in view of pocession but their implimentations have zero till date There are so many effected farmers also find judicial orders in favour of him time to time but their implementations still pending since saveral years Few farmers deposited revenue fees against order of LAAR Act 41 paimaaish but their field book were not prepared till date Few of tehsil divas applications numbers is following with the dates 6731501613 6731501595 6731501651 6731501643 67314501544 6731501564 each of 18 08 2015 6731501794 6731501735 each of 01 09 2015 230 RT SDM 25 03 2015 4288 ADM FR 01 06 2015 Lokshikayat at DM Office etc Request you to kindly do the needful to save the entire such effected local communities and time bound order to tarmeen the map as per UP Bhulekh records Your such judicious acts provide them strength in order to improve their lifestyle and education status
